Bonjour!

I'm Sanket, pursuing my master's degree in HCI design from Indiana University Bloomington and will graduate in May 2017.  I have worked on various projects- academic and professional- to better understand design and how to get to the problem-solution fit for a particular problem space.

I interned at LexisNexis Inc in the summer of 2016 as a UX Designer and got a chance to work on the flagship LexisNexis Advance product lineup for the company.

I'm currently looking for a full time opportunity in the summer of 2017, to apply my skill sets and my understanding of design and grow as a designer.

Interaction Designer at City of Bloomington (present)

  • Redesigning the city's website by improving the usability as per modern web design standards to increase citizen participation and encourage citizen's use of municipal services.
  • Defining design standards and rules by developing a styleguide to streamline all internal and external applications of the Municipal Corporation and setting an example by making all design standards open to use by other cities.

UX Strategy Designer at 39 Degrees North LLC (present)

  • Conducting market study to understand the user needs and co-relate them to the business needs for the GIS product 'Elevate Editor' of the company.
  • Developing market strategy and product core for the Elevate Editor product lineup to effectively drive profits for the company.
  • Developing high fidelity mockups of Elevate Editor's latest version 3 to effectively market to the new private sector client base.

UX Design Internship at LexisNexis Inc.

  • Improved the user experience of the flagship LexisNexis Advance lineup by adding a layer of interaction for intuitiveness.
  • Researched and implemented various ways to visualize legal documents by understanding raw data & proposing visualizations that make assimilation easier.
  • Designed and proposed alternate visualization to better condense the results that would make searching for relevant documents easier.
  • Set up usability testing sessions with the clients to analyze the feedback from the new features proposed in the redesign of the LexisNexis Advance product.
  • Persuaded the UX Lead for implementation of features by detailing the visual design of the new proposed interactions with the product.

Lead Assistant Instructor at Indiana University

  • Supervised other instructors during glans sessions, conducted labs for students and graded assignments, along with assisting the professor and solving student's doubts.

Assistant Network Analyst Intern at FeedTech Pvt Ltd.

  • Worked in a team to set up the computers for the firm, along with installing and configuring the operating systems on the machines.

Volunteered to organise treks for Royal Trekkers and Activators
